Sometimes the problem becomes a puzzle with a requirement of an answer. The human form is a complex system of balance and symmetry. One area will always by reciprocal tension pull on another.

Therefore the niggle or strain you feel may be a response from the inability to cope elsewhere!

There are visible effects that it can bring to the body from Clinical Sports Massage therapy, this can align the structural framework of the skeleton reduces pain and discomfort.

A sports massage is the manipulation of the soft tissue (muscle) in order to prevent or improve sports injuries.

A sports massage differs of a Deep Tissue as being more area-specific, focussing on larger and older knots that have built up over longer periods of time due to high training volume, trauma, muscle imbalance or poor biomechanics.

The objective is either to aid the recovery from injury, the prevention of injury, or to assist performance through helping boost power production and the range of motion.

Do techniques used differ between a deep tissue and sports massage?

Although two different therapeutic approaches, the strokes and techniques used during a deep tissue and a sports massage are fairly similar, with the use of circular movements, kneading, tapping and vibrations being consistent across both.

Where they differ somewhat is in the wider inclusion of passive stretching alongside a course of sports massage therapy.

Dry Needling therapy

(Electroacupuncture)

£55 – 30 mins | £75 – 60 mins

Electroacupuncture is a variation of acupuncture that uses electrical stimulation.

Electroacupuncture involves the application of electrical pulses of varying frequency and intensity from an electrical device through wires to the inserted needles. It produces a stronger stimulation then the mere insertion of needles.

Moreover it allows the electrical stimulation to be adjusted to what is required for specific conditions. This ensures you get the right amount of stimulation during your whole treatment.

The treatments are also shorter because the electrodes can activate your acupuncture points more quickly.

The treatment is provided by Warren Oliver Stone.
