Aloe Vera contains 13 out of 17 minerals needed for good nutrition including copper, calcium and magnesium. It contains many enzymes including lipase, oxidase, and cellulase.

 

Aloe Vera also contains 20 out of 22 important Amino acids, 8 of which are essential amino acids. Vitamins such as Vitamin B1, B2, B3, B12, C, Folic Acid, Carotene and Choline.

It reduces inflammation and swelling in skin abrasions, burns, arthritic conditions, sprains, and other conditions.

 

It eases pain, stings, burns, itches and even haemorrhoids.

 

Aloe Vera is effective in combating yeast infections. Mannose, one of the sugars in Aloe has been found to inhibit the virus responsible for HIV. 

 

It’s antiviral properties have been found also to be effective in treating Gastro Intestinal ulcers and in healing the GI tract.

 

 

Certain compounds in Aloe Vera such as lectin, activate the immune system, especially macrophages, to destroy cancer cells and promote the growth of non cancerous cells. It also increases white blood cells that help fight infection.

 

Aloe Vera aids in digestion. It cleanses the bowels and relieves constipation. It regulates the gastrointestinal pH and reduces the population of harmful faecal bacteria.

 

It can help reduce the blood sugar levels in diabetics and it’s detoxification properties support liver function.

 

Aloe Vera has been found to be an edible coating to preserve the freshness of fruits and vegetables. The gel acts as a barrier to moisture, oxygen and bacteria.
